Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Fyx, the screen-recording, screenshot, and error-tracking dashboard, its API, and its embeddable recorder script (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

If you don't agree to these Terms, please don't use the Service.

I. Start Here

Fyx changes over time, and these Terms may change with it. We'll post an updated version here with a new "Last updated" date, and if the change is material we'll try to give you notice. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the new Terms.

II. Accounts & Access

Fyx has no public signup. You sign in with Google, and access is limited to an allowlist of email addresses or a Workspace domain configured by whoever runs this Fyx instance. You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for activity that happens under your Fyx account. If you believe your account has been compromised, tell us right away.

The operator running this instance may add, remove, or change who is allowed to sign in at any time.

III. Using Fyx Responsibly

You agree not to use the Service to:

• violate any law, or anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• attempt to bypass the sign-in allowlist, authentication, or plan quotas;
• submit recordings through the embeddable recorder from a site that isn't allowlisted for your account;
• interfere with the Service's infrastructure, including by scraping, crawling, or overloading it; or
• reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the Service beyond what open-source licenses allow.

Violating these rules is grounds for suspending or terminating your access.

IV. Your Content

Anything you capture or submit through Fyx, such as Reels, Snaps, Beats, comments, titles, and descriptions (collectively, "Content"), is yours. You're responsible for what you capture, including making sure you have the right to record it and that it doesn't unnecessarily expose others' sensitive personal data.

You grant Fyx the license needed to store, process, and display your Content back to you and to your organization's other authorized users, solely to operate the Service. We don't use your Content for anything else, and we don't sell it.

V. Third-Party Services

Fyx relies on a few third-party services to work: Google (sign-in), Stripe (payment processing), and a cloud storage provider (AWS S3 or Google Cloud Storage) for media and metadata. Your use of those services through Fyx is also subject to their own terms. We aren't responsible for their availability or practices.

VI. Payment & Plans

Fyx offers a Free plan and paid plans (currently Growth and Business) with different recording quotas and retention windows. Paid plans are billed through Stripe on a recurring basis. You can view current plan details and pricing on the Settings page of the dashboard. Downgrading or cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period; we don't provide prorated refunds for partial periods unless required by law.

VII. Changes & Termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service as it evolves. You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if the operator removes you from the sign-in allowlist. Content associated with a terminated account is deleted according to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

VIII. Liability & Disputes

The Service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Fyx isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be handled in the courts located in Alberta, Canada.
